"L" class of 2012 graduation pics {Belvidere IL, Elgin IL, high school, senior photography}

I had the pleasure of photographing "L" the day of his high school graduation.  This is such a important milestone in his life as well as a great accomplishment.  The day started off with rain and storms which had me worried but it cleared up in time for our session and the day and location could not have been any better.  I hope mom and "L" like how the photos turned out and I hope I did a good job capturing these memories.  We even got a few pics of "L" and his baby brother.  Enjoy the sneak peeks!!

Spring beach session {Belvidere IL, Winnebago IL, child, family photography}

It has been a while since I posted on the blog but there is a good reason for it.  I have been busy with sessions, booking sessions, editing and all the fun stuff that goes into creating memories for families. It is at times overwhelming but I am so excited I am getting booked out, that is definitely a good sign :).  Here are quite a few previews from "N" and "C's" 4 and 3 year old pics.  I recently did their baby sisters one year old pictures and she of course joined us for some fun on the beach as well.  This was such a fun session, the boys had a lot of fun, they love the beach which is located within their neighborhood and it made the perfect setting for their pictures.  They were much happier there than at our previous indoor sessions.  I can't blame them, I enjoyed every bit of it.  Even though it is still kind of chilly outside we enjoyed dipping our feet in the water  or as far as the boys their feet and shorts (it was kind of my fault for getting it started but it was priceless to see them enjoy it, sorry "J" for getting them wet).  Here are the sneaks, hope you enjoy them.

Cousins "D" and "T" session {Belvidere IL, child, family photography}

I have known Ms. "T" since she was a baby and her mom and I are good friends.  "T" and my son are always playing together and I have borrowed her a few times for some of my practice shots and she always comes up with her own poses.  I was excited when I found a field of these yellow flowers, I knew that would be a perfect spot for "T's" pics.  I am also friends with "T's" cousin "D's" mom and since he needed some updated portraits we decided to combine the sessions and do some individual portraits as well as some together ones since they are cousins.  They were so silly during the shoot but we kept shooting away and came up with some good pics. Surprise session {Belvidere IL, Stillman Valley IL, family, child, anniversary, spring, birthday, smash cake, photography}

A few weekends ago I had a pleasure of doing a session for one of my past clients.  I did her family portraits last fall at her parents farm.  I had so much fun during that session, the farm was a beautiful setting for the pictures.  Her parents are celebrating an anniversary this month and "K" wanted to surprise them with a photo session that would include some family pics for her parents, her sister and her husband came out from Chicago to also participate in the session.  It was a blast, this family is truly amazing, everyone is so sweet and kind and so welcoming.  "K" always has ideas in mind for what she likes in pictures and together we come up with some wonderful shots.  Since "K's" babies are celebrating their birthdays coming up as well she had a cake ready to go and we did some cake smash pics for "A's" first birthday and "E's" 3rd birthday.  This was the first time I got to do an outdoor cake smash and it turned out amazing, especially with the farm as the backdrop.  I can say the cows were surely interested in what we were doing :) I am so glad I finally got to finish the session and present the pics to "K" in time for the anniversary party coming up this weekend.  Enjoy!!

"L" Family spring portraits {Belvidere IL, Glen Ellyn IL, Chicago IL, family, child, on location, photography}

Wow, what a busy few weeks I have had.  The "L" family came to visit me for their family portraits March 25th and I am finally done editing their session.  I know it looks like I have not done much lately but it has been a very busy couple weeks.  I have been completely booked with sessions which is wonderful.  I enjoy every minute of it, I get to meet so many wonderful clients.  The "L" family was definitely a much awaited session.  I watched the weather anxiously since we wanted to head outside for our session.  The weather cooperated and we headed outside and got some beautiful portraits.  The blooming trees were such a wonderful backdrop.  I don't think it would have mattered anyway as all the members of the family were so photogenic we did not need anything  else.  Talk about beautiful eyes.  I had such a wonderful time during the session.  Ms. "L" made me work for her portraits but it was definitely worth it :)  I ran into computer issues and it put me behind on editing and getting the pics out to the clients.  Thank you so much for being patient with me during all of that.  It took a few days but I am up and running again and trying to get back on track.  I am so happy with how these pics turned out.  Enjoy a few sneak peaks and I hope you guys love them as much as I do!!!
