6 month old baby "E"{Belvidere IL, Pingree Grove IL, baby, family photographer}

What a wonderful session in my studio last week with 6 month old "E" and his parents.  What a great family to work with.  Mr. "E" is just starting to sit up but not quite there yet so we had to figure out the best props and poses to capture this fun age.  Mom and dad were so much help with trying to get Mr. "E's" attention and trying to get him to smile and I tell you, sometimes it is just not that easy.  We all got a little workout that day.  We got a few smiles but most of the time he was interested in what was going on with the props and the backgrounds :)  Once my camera got a glimpse of those big blue eyes it was all a breeze.  I am so glad I got the chance to help capture such a wonderful milestone.  Enjoy the previews.

9 month old Mr. "C" {Belvidere IL, Rockford IL, baby, child, family photographer}

I had so much fun photographing Mr. "C" last Thursday.  He was so full of smiles and personality.  His big brother came along for the photo shoot, he was not as interested in taking his pictures taken but we did convince him to get in on a couple and he did a wonderful job as well.  Such adorable boys!!! Just want to thank mom for giving me the opportunity to photograph them.  Enjoy the previews.

9 month old baby "L" {Belvidere, IL, Rockford, IL baby, child photographer}

I am done editing one of the super fun 9 month sessions from last Thursday.  This is one of my favorite ages to photograph.  "L" was so full of energy and personality I smiled throughout the entire session and again when editing the pictures.  We wanted to include some pics to pay tribute to his grandpa who is a police officer and his dad who will be graduating from police academy to become a state trooper.  I hope they enjoy the pics.  Here are some previews from "L's " session.

So much excitement!!!

Coming to my studio tomorrow I have not one but two 9 month old boys.  I am so excited about their sessions.  This is such a wonderful age with so much personality.  With the weather last week I had a couple cancellations so I can't wait to get back to working on more sessions this week.  I love capturing the photos but I also love the editing part.  It brings me back to those great moments and it is very rewarding to see great moments captured and preserved in a photography.  With all that said, let's hope the boys are in both in a great mood and come ready to model.  Check back for previews from those sessions!!!

Custom Cards and Announcements

For some time now I have been wanting to offer custom birth announcements and cards to my clients to go along with their session prints.  I finally had some time to design my first birth announcement which I am happy to say mom liked and ordered as her announcements.

I also designed another template which could be used as a card, invitation or even a birth announcement for a boy. Check it out.

I will be working on more templates coming soon.

Updates

Good afternoon everyone.  We are getting snow today.  It is a little bitter sweet for me as I have been waiting for snow to do my family pictures but due to the amount of snow we are getting today I had to reschedule one of my sessions to keep the safety of my clients driving to come see me, in mind.  Instead I used this time to update the blog a little bit.  I added a few more tabs and included links for some of my galleries to give you a little bit of preview of my past work.  Please check out the galleries and feel free to leave me some feedback.  If you would live in Chicago/Rockford are and would like to have me capture some special moments please contact me and we can go over the details and set up an appointment.

I am still working on getting the blog all put together but I did want to post some pics of my first newborn this year.  Hoping my whole year will be filled with more wonderful sessions just like this one.

Miss "K" {Belvidere IL, Chicago IL, newborn, baby, family photographer}

5 day old baby "K" came to visit me from Chicago.  I really appreciate mom and dad giving me the opportunity to capture those sweet memories for them.  Ms. "K" was so laid back and smiley it was a pleasure working with her and her awesome parents (she also does win the award for most peed/pooped on blankets in one session but hey, whatever made her happy, LOL).  She was my first newborn of 2012 and if all my sessions go as well as this one this year I will be the luckiest girl in the world.  Enjoy the sneak peeks.
