"G" is turning one {Belvidere IL, Rockford IL, child, family photography}

Adorable Mr. "G" is turning one and I am so happy that mom chose me to document this milestone for him.  Mom and dad opted out of the cake smash since they just wanted some regular pictures of "G" as well as some family ones.  I love that mom and dad both had some ideas in mind for the poses they wanted, it just makes the session go so smoothly.  It was a beautiful day at the park so we took a stroll and captured some wonderful memories.  Mr. "G" was so good for his session especially since it was later in the afternoon and most babies his age are winding down at that point.  He did refused to walk hand in hand with mom and dad for some of the shots, he wanted to be on the ground and just go on his own.  He is an independent little guy.  I did end up getting just a couple shots of the family walking away which turned out great.  I enjoyed working with the "F" family.  Here are previews from their session.

1 year cake smash star Mr. "C" {Belvidere IL, Rockford IL, child, 1st birthday, family, cake smash photography}

What fun did we have with Mr. "C" for his 1st birthday session.  I did his 9 month pics a few months ago and he was all smiles then and he was smiley this time around too but we also got to see some serious faces as well.  Mom brought along a few props that were used in "C's" big brother's 1st year pics and they worked out great.  We headed outside for some shots too, we had to battle a little bit of full sun but they turned out great.  Then there was the cake smash... So much fun, I always love that part.  Thank you Ali Smith Bakery for the awesome cake.  It tasted as good as it looks too.  Big brother "N" got to join in for some cake smash pics. 3 week old Ms. "E" {Belvidere IL, Rockford IL, newborn, family, infant girl, photography}

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of photographing beautiful Ms."E".  She was a little older than my usual newborns and she wasn't really into sleeping much but she did so amazing.  She posed so beautifully and with some help from mom and dad we got some wonderful shots.  Mom is into vintage items so she brought along a variety of wonderful props to include in the pictures.  I absolutely loved the vintage baby carriage and scale.  I had such a wonderful time with the "M" family.  Congratulations on your beautiful bundle of joy.  I hope I met your expectations.  Here are a few sneaks.

Sweetness! 1 year old Ms. "T" cake smash session {Belvidere IL, Winnebago IL, Rockford IL photography}

How can you not love all these rolls!!! I love chunky babies and Ms. "T" definitely delivers in that category.  She is so sweet too you just can't help but to want to eat her up.  She was such a great model and I am glad we had so much pink going on.  All that "pink goodness" as her momma would say.  She has two older brothers so mom definitely loves her little princess in pink. As a proud mom of two boys myself I definitely get to live vicariously through all the girly photo shoots I do.  Here is a preview of this super fun and 1 year session.

9 month old baby "L" {Belvidere, IL, Rockford, IL baby, child photographer}

I am done editing one of the super fun 9 month sessions from last Thursday.  This is one of my favorite ages to photograph.  "L" was so full of energy and personality I smiled throughout the entire session and again when editing the pictures.  We wanted to include some pics to pay tribute to his grandpa who is a police officer and his dad who will be graduating from police academy to become a state trooper.  I hope they enjoy the pics.  Here are some previews from "L's " session.
