"G" is turning one {Belvidere IL, Rockford IL, child, family photography}

Adorable Mr. "G" is turning one and I am so happy that mom chose me to document this milestone for him.  Mom and dad opted out of the cake smash since they just wanted some regular pictures of "G" as well as some family ones.  I love that mom and dad both had some ideas in mind for the poses they wanted, it just makes the session go so smoothly.  It was a beautiful day at the park so we took a stroll and captured some wonderful memories.  Mr. "G" was so good for his session especially since it was later in the afternoon and most babies his age are winding down at that point.  He did refused to walk hand in hand with mom and dad for some of the shots, he wanted to be on the ground and just go on his own.  He is an independent little guy.  I did end up getting just a couple shots of the family walking away which turned out great.  I enjoyed working with the "F" family.  Here are previews from their session.

"C" and "G" family and save the date pics {Belvidere IL, DeKalb IL, family, child, engagement photography}

"C" was referred to me by a some of my clients to capture family pictures for her save the date cards for her and "G's" wedding this fall.  She also asked me if I would photograph the big day as well.  I have honestly not done much advertising besides word of mouth and Facebook, so to have my clients suggest me as the wedding photographer to their friends is very flattering.  I am very excited and nervous about the weddings I have coming up this summer but one thing that has helped is that I either know or get to know the couple and their families before hand.  The family session allowed me to do just that.  I met "C" at the location where the wedding will be held to go over details of the big day and to get to meet each other.  We decided to do the family pics there since it was so gorgeous and it will give us the opportunity to tie the save the date cards to the wedding day pics.  The session was so amazing, it gave me the chance to get familiar with the location as well as meet "G" and their children and let me tell you.  They are a wonderful, sweet family and I will be honored to capture the wedding day for them.  For now enjoy the previews from the family session.

"C" is one!!! {Belvidere IL, Round Lake IL, family, cake smash, 1st birthday, child photography}

This session was so special to me for a few reasons.  I have been good friends with "P" since high school and also because "C" was the first newborn that I photographed when I first started in my journey as a photographer.  I am so appreciative that she trusted me enough with her first newborn son, especially at a few days old and not having much experience at that point.  The session turned out awesome then and once again I got a chance to capture another milestone in "C's" life for his 1st birthday.  Thank you so much for the opportunity.  Wish we lived a little closer so we could have more time to spend together but I do treasure every opportunity I get to spend with you guys.  Love you guys and hope you like how the pictures turned out!!!  Here are some sneak peeks for everyone to enjoy of this handsome little guy.  Just want to eat him up!!

"S" and "J" just got married!!! {Belvidere IL, Rockford IL, family, couple photography}

So I do have a few weddings coming up this summer which I am super excited for.  I have not photographed a wedding so far and I am very thankful for the couples who are giving me the opportunity to capture this very important day in their lives.  This session was a little bit of a practice run for the upcoming weddings.  "S" and "J" have been together for a few years now and decided to get married.  "S" contacted me couple of weeks ago and unfortunately due to a schedule conflict I was not able to photograph their entire ceremony but she still wanted  to capture some pictures of her and "J" and their beautiful family.  I was so happy she chose me to do that for her.  What a beautiful couple and she made a stunning bride.  We had so much fun during our session, they were so open minded and willing to go all over the get the shots and were up for anything.  My kind of couple.  Here are some of the shots from our session.  It was such a pleasure meeting you guys.  Congratulations and best of luck!!!

One year old "M" {Belvidere IL, Roscoe IL, family, child photography}

I photographed this little cutie last week.  I am finally done with her session so I can present it to her parents.  I am so happy "J" contacted me to purchase a session for "K" as a mother's day gift.  It was so nice meeting this sweet family.  "M" did an amazing job and was very cooperative throughout the whole session.  She is turning one and I hope I captured her personality during our time together.  Enjoy the sneak peeks!!
