Beautiful "L" is back for her 6 month pics {Belvidere IL, Hampshire IL, baby, child, family photography}

I have been fortunate enough to be able to photograph this little beauty since her newborn pics.  I loved her 6 month pics, she was a great model for her other sessions but you can really see her personality at this session.  Her amazing eyes are always the focus of every session but she is now sitting up, smiling and she loved exploring the grass.  She was very content sitting in the grass which is always a hit or miss at this age.  I got to use my new prop for her session and it worked out great.  I love the new chair and I have a feeling I will be using it quite often "L" loved sitting in it as much as I loved using it.  Here are some sneaks from her 6 month milestone session.

1 year old "L" {Belvidere IL, Rockford IL, birthday, cake smash, child, family photography}

Mr. "L" is finally on the blog.  He did an awesome job for his cake smash the first time around but was not very fond of getting his other pictures done.  We decided to reschedule the portrait part of his session to another day.  He did much better the second time around.  It also gave us an opportunity to try out a different location which in turn gave us more of a variety.  I just love how expressive "L's" face is.  He did not smile a whole lot but it allowed us to capture some of those expressions for mom to remember later when he grows up.  Big brother "N" was such great help for our second session.  I just love him too, he reminds me so much of my son.  He is very outgoing and has a ton of questions which kept me entertained throughout the session.  Even though "L" gave me a run for my money I loved every minute of the session.  Thank you "A" for allowing me to capture those memories for you.  I know you have waited a long time for the pics so here is a sneak and I am uploading them all to the gallery right now.

Fun cake smash session with "M" {Belvidere IL, 1st birthday, child, family photography}

Here is a quite big sneak peek as I couldn't narrow down which pictures I wanted to share on the blog.  I love how this session turned out.  "M" did such a wonderful job during her session, she was a little tired at the end when we did the cake smash and got a little upset when the frosting got on the grass.  She wanted to clean the frosting up more than eat the cake but that is ok because we still got some wonderful pictures.  I love doing going outside the box and doing the cake smashes outdoors so I was happy mom was on board for it.  It took me a little longer than I expected to finish editing since I had so much going on this past few weeks.  So I won't make mom and dad wait any longer.  Here are the sneaks !!  Enjoy.

5 day old Ms. "D" {Belvidere IL, Machesney Park IL, newborn, family photography}

I was awaiting this session anxiously ever since mom contacted me earlier this year to book her maternity and newborn sessions.  The maternity session turned out so wonderful, "M" is such a sweet and beautiful girl and we had a blast during the maternity session so I was really excited to meet this little bundle of joy.  Mom and dad did not find out the gender before hand so I made sure I had props ready to go for both.  It was a wonderful  surprise for "M", "J" and big brother "G" to find out if was a little baby girl. Again, I had a great time working with them on their beautiful baby girl's session.  Big brother was not interested at all in having pics taken with his baby sister.  I was able to get him in on a family pic but that was about it.  That is the beauty of being a 2 year old, if you don't want to do something, guess what you just don't, sometimes I wish I could be 2 for a little bit :)  Overall the session turned out great.  "D" is such a beautiful little girl and already so photogenic.  It will be so wonderful to get to see her back for her milestone sessions and hopefully we can get big brother interested in pics next time.  Here are some sneaks from the session.
